Ellie (aka Eleanor Wood Mason) is a talented story teller, who has crammed several lifetimes worth of experiences into her present existence here on earth. She has been a factory worker, a seamstress, a designer of children’s clothing, a farmer, a market manager, a wife and a mother.
Even with this over-full life Ellie managed to find an occasional moment to jot down the poems and short stories which were running through her head, begging to be put on paper. She has submitted some of her works to various magazines, but lacking confidence, she did so anonymously. She gained confidence by seeing some of her efforts published and in retrospect, wished she had signed them.
All this experience prompted Ellie to start her own company, Eleanor’s Kitchen™, which began as a bakery and evolved into a food processing business specializing in all natural gourmet preserves. She owned and managed this business for 18 years before deciding it was time to slow down just a bit and realize her dream of writing full time.
Ellie did all of these things while raising her own 3 children and being a loving foster parent to more than 30 children, most of them troubled teenagers, who have enriched her life just by being part of it.
As mentioned above Ellie was a closet writer for many years and now it could be said that she is out of the closet and on the net! (Admittedly it’s much less cramped writing at a desk rather than in the closet and the light out here is better too )
